About Us

Cathedral Gardens Water District was founded in the 1920s to provide clean, reliable water to the growing West Hempstead community. Today, we proudly serve just over 300 residents and businesses, remaining dedicated to dependable service and responsible water conservation.

Since 2017, we have encouraged sustainable practices such as timely leak repairs, rain‑sensor sprinklers, and water‑efficient fixtures to promote mindful use of this vital resource. Our mission is not only to deliver water but also to inspire our community to protect it for future generations.

Alongside our commitment to water service, this website also offers valuable insights into gardening. From tips on growing fruits and vegetables to guidance on garden care and health, we provide practical articles to help you nurture greener, healthier spaces.
